Shielding Products
Proven Design
CSI’s modular shielding products are based on proven designs used to construct 1000s’ of enclosures worldwide since the 1960’s. CSI’s Shielding meets or exceeds the attenuation requirements of Mil STD 285, NSA 65-6 and other internationally recognized RF shielding specifications. Each room assembled by CSI uses a steel laminated, wood-core modular RF shielding system. Each panel consists of 28 gauge (26 gauge available on request) steel sheets laminated to both sides of ¾” wood core material. Steel sheets are zinc-clad to resist corrosion, while maintaining electrical continuity and RF attenuation. The zinc-plated steel framing system connects the panels with a strong clamping action.
Harder Steel Framing
CSI uses a framing from a higher grade of steel than is commonly used by other manufacturers. When the shielding panels are clamped together, this stronger framing provides for greater compression and the resultant improved shielding performance/reduced installation/test time.
Shielding Components
CSI provides all the components necessary to build a high-quality turnkey shielded enclosure. This includes connector panels, waveguide air vents, pipe penetrations, power line and signal filters, etc. CSI can also provide and install interior finishes to provide an office-like environment inside control rooms and other occupied spaces.
Individual Shielding Components
Individual RF parts are available to the customer as over the counter sales for spare or replacement parts.
RF-shielded Facilities
CSI can provide shielding for everything from small test rooms to large shielded multi-room test facilities. Typical projects involve manufacturing and supply of shielding materials, project management and coordination with utilities subcontractors. And since we’re based out of Ottawa, Ontario we can offer timely service and easy access to replacement parts in North America.
Anechoic Chambers
CSI provides and installs EMC and antenna pattern measurement chambers. Our experienced installers have completed numerous chambers in the US and Canada which use ferrite, polystyrene or polyethylene absorbers. SunAR Positioning Equipment
CSI provides and installs SunAR Science’s high quality EUT positioning equipment including turntables, towers and controllers.
Medical Market
CSI supplies and installs high performance shielding to the MRI market. We have installed medical-related shielded enclosures at sites in Canada and the U.S. Our references page lists some of these Medical/MRI projects. Our experience includes MRI rooms with magnets manufactured by GE, Philips and Siemens.
Warranty
We offer a standard one year warranty on CSI materials and workmanship (including doors and filters). Anechoic absorber is warranted in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty policy. We offer Sunol Sciences positioning equipment; such as turntables, towers and controllers, which carry a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty.
